Need some recommendations for how to remove white residue from the grout between ceramic tiles.
The white residue is from adhesive remover. Adhesive remover was applied to the tile and grout to remove glue from self stick vinyl tiles. The self stick tiles were on the tile for about a year and then removed.
The adhesive remover is Citristrip.
Besides replacing the grout, what are effective ways to remove this white residue?
The tile is in a hallway and in two bathrooms.
Thanks

There is still adhesive in the grout as well that I need to get up.
Some have suggested using acetone. Not sure if acetone soften or compromise the grout.
Also not sure of the correct way to apply the acetone.
Any thoughts?
If it is pure cement-type grout then acetone won't hurt it. If it's "modified" then it's hard to tell.
But try an acid first. You may be surprised.
