What is the best way to remove a double cylinder lock that is attached with screws where the screwdriver will only engage the screw heads turning clockwise? Is my only option to drill out the screws? Thanks.

Take a Dremel tool with a thin abrasive cutoff wheel and cut regular screw slots into screw head. Or just cut inot the curved shoulder enough to square it up for a regular screwdriver.
Probably too late......................................BUT
Center punch and drill the heads off......two lock halves should pull apart.
I have better luck with holding a drill on target than a Dremel.
