Removing protective film from Anderson windows
I new Anderson windows some of which I am having a difficult time removing the protective film from. On some the problem is with the inside and the outside.
It seems like the ones that have had more exposure to the sun are the toughest.
Any and all suggestions are welcome.

There's a guy here who will have another coniption over this recommendation.
Call Andersen-I'd have to think that a large number of others have had the same problem-and those might not be here on the board-but, some of them may have called Andersen and the simple answer just might be in their database...............
Best of luck.
I just had Renewal by Andersen put new windows in a house we moved out of last Nov., the crew pulled all the plastic off before leaving.
If it's the same (clear plastic) stuff I'd be curious if your issue is hardening of the adhesive or tearing of the plastic?
My suggestions:
1) Call Andersen tech support, see what they recommend;
2) Don't try to remove it unless it's 60 - 80 degrees F (colder makes both adhesive & plastic brittle, warmer make plastic stretch & tear easily);
3) Find a tool made for scraping glass fitted with 3" replaceable blades if all else fails.
I've used one of these for removing PSA vinyl window graphics that had been left in the sun for waayy too long.
Especially in cold weather, the careful application of a hairdryer (just enough to get the film warm to the touch) might be helpful.
