Just finished installing “Rustic Oak” flooring in the loft of my summer place. Sure looks nice but now I must finish it and need to fill the knot holes and other imperfections common to this low grade of material. Looking for suggestions about what to use to do the filling. Plan to sand the floor and use polyurethane finish.

I've used the dust from the sanding and some polyurethane to make a paste and then fill the cracks and holes. If you are going to stain it than add some stain to the dust and then the poly, and fill.
I like "Zar Patch".

I use Imperial Paint (Portland, Oregon manufacturer) Wood Doe Base #1435-00.
It's formulated to mix with the sander dust (finish sanding dust).
I'll try that next time instead of the poly.
I use fast setting two part clear epoxy to fill inperfections in wood. If you use a very good grade of polyurathane (Flecto) the epoxy does not distract from the look of the finish product.
