Spiral staircase

Hi guys, I'm looking for some help finding a Canadian Spiralcase maker, not steel, we don;'t have room to get one in the house. So we are looking for a reasonable priced woodem spiral staircase. Prefer Western canada, due to shipping costs. Fairly plain & simple staircase is all we are looking for . Our house  is far from new & a "high end" staircase isn't warrented. Thanks for your help.   Ron       rdtoolmaker@gmail.com

A steel sprial stair kit is the least expensive. It will come shipped in several boxes. The center pole is the largest item.

They are easy to install and sturdy. Do a search to find the closest manufacture near you.

having built several of these stairs from scratch over the years a kit would probally be the easist way to do one the one i have in my house i used a barn beam for the main post as i hve barn beams in my ceiling in the great room that the stairs leads from the treads are 1 1\2 ïnch oak for spindels i used 1/2 inch steel going through the treads on the bottom & welded to a piece of channel on the top to reinforce the structure i welded a horse shoe between the spindles in every second space for a railing i got 1/4 x 3 1/2 x 1/4 oak & laminated them in place ( lots of clamps & glue ) this setup looks alright as the building is circa 1875 stone and everything looks a bit rustic i did another set for a job & used a steel well casing as the main post & welded tread supports to it & the rest was similar to the first one note: do not wax the treads !

Yeah, and his shift key and return key are apparently not working.

We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
