Thats an unfair question untill you tell us where you are . The city of New York would be quite different to "Boonies" Missisippi , or "Hillbilly" Arkansas.
A little pun intended

Sorry Tim for the lack of info.I'm in central Indiana.Im currently looking into a job as an assistant superintendant or super for a change of experience.Ive worked for 15 or so years on many of the different aspects of construction and remodeling.I started working with my Dad on jobs when I was fairly young 9-10 and since have worked for two other companies as lead carpenter.the first company I worked with was fairly small yet we subbed only the electrical, plumbing, drywall finishing and excavating. We did aproximately 75% new construction 2*6 stick frame and 25% remodels. The second job (as my former employer retired)was with a company that dealt with a new set of subs and tackled any job that came along such as an in ground pool in a basement finish job, installing a basement under an existing home, removing the roof of an underground home and adding a second story, etc. I'm looking into this job as a stepping stone in my career.I love the work I do yet I've heard too many of my fellow workers talk about pains and lack of total function even in their forties. The main point of my post is I'm wanting to gather info about a superintendants job specifics, possible perks, pay range, pros and cons etc.If anyone out there is willing to share some hard earned experience with me it might help me to decide my next step and give me some bargaining power when I hire on,and will sincerely be appreciated.
I did that once. I used the paper , and called the jobs listed. Are you in a major city ?
Isnt Indianna union ? Check the union scale , they will be happy to talk to you.[they want your money . funny how that makes people friendly ] Use the job computer sites . There are two big ones and I cant think of either right now. Go to the job site on this forum and repost . Maybe you will get some hits off both posts in your area. Typically your information will have to be derived locally. Call people you have got to know in the business. Hope this helps , but as I was saying it does matter where you are . I am ashamed to post wages , sub prices, per foot building prices , etc, in rural Arkansas .
Good Luck!!!!

There's a site called Monster.com that has lots of job related stuff. I haven't used them...
