What other brand names are out there, besides Tyvek? Any idea of costs/sf, and where these others can be purchased? Are they white in color, as well.
I am looking at using a Tyvek product as a temporary protective dust/rain wrapping when shipping fiberglass building panels to job sites. Is Tyvek, etc. waterproof, or is it water resistant? Does it “breathe”? As always, your generous knowledge base is greatly appreciated.

Typar is another brand http://www.reemay.com/housewrap/
Tyvek http://www.tyvek.com/
The links should have the info you need ..... hope it helps.
*Tyvek is a "air barrier" not a water-proof membrane.check out buildingscience.com
*Do you want a house wrap or Tyvek? A number of different products are made from Tyvek, with different characterics. For example envelopes and coveralls. But I wonder if you aren't looking for something completely different, strech wrap. You should be able to get it at any company that handles shipping and warehouse supplies. I have even seen it in some of the ww catalogs and it probably is in the big box office supply stores. For some strang reason I get a catalog from Uline (1-800-295-5510, http://www.uline.com) that is full of shipping "stuff" including the strectch wrap.
