This house 14769788753 is the color we want, so I wrote to the owners and asked them what paint they used. She said it was not paint, but engineered planks with built-in color. She did not know the brand but was sure the shade is “Sea Foam Green.”
Neither Hardie nor CertainTeed has a product in this color—although they might have in the past. The house was built seven years ago and it could be a discontinued color.
Do you know of any other manufacturers I can research? I need to take a sample to the paint store.

P.S.
What do you think about this type of siding? I haven’t seen it close up (didn’t want to alarm the owners!), so was surprised to learn that it was not painted wood. Still looks new, which is a big plus. But what happens years later when you remodel, and the color has ben discontinued?

You might check Georga Pacific -- they've made several varieties of engineered siding in the past.
As to what you do when the color has been discontinued, well, you paint any new pieces a different color (or get a paint store to match that color).
