Anyone building with green rough-sawn lumber?
This is authentic green construction! Using locally-sourced and low-embodied energy lumber, installed green and dried in place during construction.
I’ve been building super-insulated modified Larsen truss double wall homes with green, native full dimension lumber. Other than the weight, I find it far preferable to KD.
What are your experiences with it?

We use local green poplar for siding and for wrapping beams and do a little post and beam work with green oak. It shrinks up a lot but is a pleasure to work with and the price is right. Our inspectors will not allow it for anything structural with out an engineers inspection and approval.
