Any book recommendations for getting started on understanding green building from a contractors perspective. There’s a lot of books out there but I’m looking for one that will keep me on the edge of my seat ( a can’t put down kind of book!) and inspire me to take the next step (whatever that may be). Sure, I know there’s a Taunton book store but I want to hear from people like me who aren’t actually selling them.
Thanks

I'd look at some of the guide documents for some of the rating systems out there. Earthcraft, for example, is a good one in use in the Southeast. Developed by Southface Energy Institute in cooperation w/ the Atlanta Homebuilders Assn. You could also look at LEED-H, but that reference guide will cost you $$.
