Carpenter Apprentice Opportunity Wanted/San Diego, CA

Former High School teacher seeking to change careers.  I am currently looking to learn the art of carpentry in any and all forms.  I live in the San Diego area and I am highly motivated, hard working, physically able, and have a strong desire to learn.  I can work for very little and would welcome any opportunity.  Please consider training me in your profession.
