Finish / Interior Carpenter Apprentice with truck, tools, business #, insurance, looking for good mentor in Fraser Valley BC

Hi guys,

Since 2005 I have owned and operated a business in the small-scale residential construction and renovation market. My focus has been on manageable projects ranging from pressure treated and Western Red Cedar decks, paving stone walkways and patios (in both new and heritage building applications), basement room additions (generally non structural), framing windows, asphalt shingle roofs, basic finish trim, standard and wide plank hardwood floors, basic electrical, as well as standard and dri-core sub-floors.

At 27 years of age I am at a point where I would like to specialize full-time in finish carpentry. As such, I am looking for a contractor / carpenter who understands the finer points of interior carpentry to work with that would be willing to act as a mentor. I am willing to work for you either as a sub or an employee and am not the type of person to burn bridges or receive training without paying it back through hard work and dedication to my trainer. I am a clean cut, personable individual with a focus on integrity and quality. Additionally, you will find that I am well educated and easy to work with.

I have my own business number, truck, tools, and can carry my own WCB insurance. Located in Langley, I generally work throughout the Langley and Abbotsford areas. Therefore, I would prefer to keep working in the White Rock to Chilliwack region of the Fraser Valley (Port Coquitlam to Mission would be alright).
