Carpenter Bee Trap

Here is a pic of the carpenter bee trap. Notice the entry hole, drilled at a sharp 45 degree angle at the top of the box.

   Thanks for sharing this. I know what I'll be building out of some of the scrap laying around the shop. Is that a 3/8" diameter hole for them to enter on the side of the trap?

Hey, bro, sorry to have missed your question....was vacationing! Yeh, 3/8th 'll do it. If you look around for bees holes in wood and measure them they, on average, will be around 3/8". The important thing is the angle! And...keep a coupla dead borers in the trap as it appears to be that the dead ones attract live ones. Maybe it's a guy thing: I won't share my harem with you!!! :)
