Gap between French doors opening up

A gap is beginning to open up between our French doors. I could do something really ugly with weatherstripping, but I'm hoping there's a better fix. Any ideas?

A good answer will require you to post more information.  What kind of door unit (manufacturer) or site hung doors?   New doors/old frame?  We cannot see the problem from here.

Pictures would help also.

I would guess either the doors are shrinking/warping or the jambs are spreading apart.  You need to do a little research to figure out which (or maybe some other cause).

new construction?  old house with new doors?   Sounds like a poor install.
