You would not have a useable copy for that price. The registration key/dongle costs more than the price this guy is offering it for. This might be a copy of the software, but you cannot use it without the registration and the hardware key. They are very good about protecting their licenses and rights.

for comparison here on prices, I think boss hog bought SP lite v13 for just under a grand.
This deal from this guy for THE FULL VERSION WITH SOFTLIST is six hundred, plus a fee for transferring the license of maybe four hundred, so for a grand you get the complete program in that version. if you then wanted to upgrade to the latest v14 another few hundred gets you to half the price of buying it direct for your total investment. if I were thinking of getting started in CAD residential design, I'd jump on it. I could start with the basic, then upgrade later.

BTW, for those with a frame of mind of only buy direct from the maker, SP now has a monthly buy plan. the key phones home every time you fire up and if you get behind on payments, the program stays asleep I guess. Not sure - I just bought it outright.

I think I have the lite version of release 11, and it's a decent program.  But, if I were be in the market for 3d cad software, I would definately get the full version.  It seemed like a good deal at the time, and probably was, and I read the list of differences and decided it wasn't worth the additional cost, but I have discovered that there are a lot of "little things" missing in the lite version.  Frustrating things.

i'm  selling  my  third  license  of  Chief Architect... includes  X1.... SSA  (   that  is  the  annual  support  )  and  X2  ( latest  version )...  this  is a Full License


$2000  and  I  pay  shipping  and  transfer  fee

used  to  have  a woman  that  was doing some  of  my design  work  until  she  joined  the  army


 


and  i  had  one  license  for  my  office  machine  and  one  for  home  (  so   that  makes  3  )


 


now.. i  just  don't  need  the  third license...  but  i always  found  it  was easier  to  keep all three  current  rather  than  falling  behind


get too  far  bhehind and  it's  almost  like  starting  over......  upgrading  the  3  every  18  months  or  so  is  more  manageable

Never realized you had another person working the design end.

too much fun to give that part up.

but I might part with some of the book keeping...

I can just carry the dongle key back and forth the two computers.

SP knows I am only using one at a time because of the hardware key. I did check with them first on the two machine usage this way.

So I have a small plastic case that fits my pocket easy with a flash thumb drive and the SP key.

X2 comes with a software lock.... the dongle is extra... i liked the dongle but it was often  someplace else besides the computer i wanted to use


i might buy one dongle..... but really... you lose a dongle  they don't want to hear it


used to be... i'd have 3 dongles from the old version  and 3 from the new version... hard to keep track

no... i have  3 licences  for  X3.. and i need all 3

 

i do have  a license for the latest verion of Envisioneer  ( 6.1 ) 

   and

i have two keys   for SoftPlan 2012 ( latest verson ) with ALL the add-ons

 

i will sell either or both at below market  including the transfer fees... SP  you have to  transfer everything... but it will still be less than a new license
