Just bought a bostich strap nailer...anyone else having trouble firing this gun...seems very sensitive..gun needs to be at just the right angle or it wont fire...Maybe its just me...

Yes, as I recall, a narrow range around perpendicular (right angle) is the sweet spot. Once you get used to the tool it becomes second nature and it's great for what it does.

My gun misfires with three or four nails still in the magazine so I normally reload before the magazine gets that low.

I bought one to install hurricane ties on a house I was building. I think I got it to fire 3 times in a half hour of screwing around. I eventually used my palm nailer to finish the job. It is now collecting dust in my garage.

I had a very experienced carpenter get really frustrated with the misfires but after watching me have little trouble with the gun he finally figured it out and he went on to fasten almost every hanger and strap on our project.

It has a funky action with a secondary foot that has to "sense" the position of the gun and if it is off just a bit it misfires an aggravating safety feature for sure.

If I had determined that the gun was unusable, it would have gone back to the vendor for refund or replacement.
