just bought the new cordless 18g fusion bradnailer from senco. the tool does not countersink the nails deep enough to hold any woodfiller or putty. i never understood the reason for heaving a dial on your nailgun to adjust the depth of the nail. why would anybody want the nail to be flush in the crown or baseboard. i am shooting 1 5/8 and 2" brads, no oak or maple. i had the same problem with an other senco bradnailer that shoots 2 1/8 brads.  anybody  have any ideas about that?

I have never had a problem with any of the Senco framers, staplers or finish guns.  I do not know what might be wrong but the adjusters I have on 2 of the guns works fine, and yes, there is a use for them.  When you blow through the other side, that's too far-being able to adjust the depth will fasten the work in the manner intended but not leave blemishes on the other side.

On my bradnailer, there's an adjustment called Turbo-you need to use the allen wrench to turn the ..........whatever it is.............at any rate, you move that sleeve over to Turbo and you will drive into almost anything-FULL POWER.  That's a power adjustment, not depth of drive.

Are you running the air at the required pressure?

Are you using a pc. of [JOBSITE WORD] compressor?

Take it back, it's not supposed to be like that.  Where did you get it?

i got it on amazon so there is no problem sending it back, but i dont think there is anything wrong with the gun, and i just was disappointed it didnt perform they way i wanted it to. i called senco tech support but they were already closed. i only own senco nailguns, my absolut favorite is the slp 20, probably shot a million nails never had a problem. i just went in my shop and tested the f18 fusion and the finish pro 25 with 2 1/8 brads and both gun struggle to countersink. i shot into a 2x4. any thoughts?

2-1/8 into a 2x4.

Well, when I shoot a 2-1/8 in the framepro 25 I am going through wood, then drywall/plaster and then into framing.

So, total wood thickness-maybe inch and a half.

I'll try to remember to try it tomorrow on a job-going into the 2x4 with a full size nail, nothing else.

The framepro has the turbo feature-is it set on that? Also, it has the depth gauge, what's yours set at?

The fusion, don't have it, can't say.

Could you keep this discussion public here on the board, or at least fill us in.  As a total Senco gun user for a long, long time, I'd like to know if this Fusion gun is worth the look.

Woodpecker-I did not remember to drive 2-1/8" nails into a 2x4.  Maybe I'll see the postit note on the thermos tomorrow.
