Lost my trusty 5-in-1 a couple months ago, it was a HYDE. Tough handle. This thing did it all, and could take a beating without bending or chipping. Replaced it with a Richard that has a decent handle but a soft blade.
What’s your favorite 5-in-1?

Source control, ventilation, and filtration are the keys to healthy indoor air quality. Dehumidification is important too.

Pierre, get yourself another hyde. I'm a remodeller and don't paint much, but i always have the 5-in-1 with me.
Ridgid blade (sharpened with a file) great for cutting caulk/paint and initial prying before removing trim. Point great for removing mud boogers out of grooves and exposing nail heads. Indispensible tool for what i do.

Pierre,
They now have a 6 in 1, believe it or not.I like the Hyde. The best ones have a metal end cap so you can pound on em like a chisel.
Will do, once I find a Canadian retailer. Hyde has yet to reply to my email.
Maybe Jeckel will cover it....
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming
WOW!!! What a Ride!
Buy the Richard (comes in a couple of different sizes, I have both, but prefer the smaller one most of the time) with the rubber-padded handle. Rona and Home Depot stock them. I try to put a decent edge on them, but usually end up honing them with just a piece of fine sandpaper.
