Hi, I’m in the process of designing my first custom home. I’m planning to use Riverbend Timber Frame Company, who use SIPs for exterior walls and roofs. I also intend to use radiant floor heating throughout (single story with a finished walk-out basement) Because I love the whole house fan in my current home, I intend to include one in the new house.
I have two questions:
What is the best air conditioning system to use with radiant heat, timber frame (no attic) and SIPS. Value for cost is a factor.
What is the best way to ventilate the house on a regular basis, vice using the whole house fan to replace all of the air periodically.

You may want to try asking your question at the Breaktime forum (three to the left of House Chat above), but be prepared--they can get surly sometimes, especially with a fairly all-encompassing question like yours.
