Hi all–
Posting for a pal who is between houses right now. Her bungalow in Evanston is her pride and joy (she is the second owner) but DH was transferred to Ann Arbor 🙁
Turns out the only thing that works for them in size and price range is…ugh…of the McMansion variety. With a new baby and a precocious toddler (and his job has him working practically 24/7), the timing for them to renovate isn’t good. They need something “live-in ready”.
She is so sad. She wants a house with personality and not a “cookie cutter house where you could turn into any driveway and accidentally go home to someone else’s house.” Any ideas or upcoming articles on how to personalize the exterior of McMansions? (I’m using the word “Mansion” loosely here. Because of extended family circumstances, they need 4 bedrooms and 2 baths…and that’s it! And any cute bungalow, already live-in ready is way out of their price range. I couldn’t believe it. Sad, when McHouses are the new “tract housing”.)
Thanks!

Try this; it's in Manchester, outside Ann Arbor. The listing agent is Terrie Soraruf of Edward Surovell Realtors; her phone number is (517) 404-1301. The MLS # of this house is 54242206.
If your friends want to search for themselves, using some parameters Realtor.com doesn't offer, they should use http://www.MoveInMichigan.com. The data is the same as that which appears on Realtor.com.
Good luck!
