I need some help. I am removing a non-load bearing wall between my den and dining room. I want to keep a header around the dining room, and replace the wall with two pedestals and double square posts at each end of where the wall was. Any decorative ideas or picture will be helpful. Thank you.

You might try looking in your local library at books on Craftsman-style houses or bungalos. Might give you some ideas.
Sorry I don't have any pictures, but the style is quite popular now, so as the other poster said, current magazines and books would have some pictures. A large bookstore should have a number of the recently published books on the style.
There are a few magazines that specialize in that style, for instance Style 1900 and a couple with Bungalow in their titles.
Hi Preed,
You might want to check out Taunton's Updating the American Bungalow for some ideas. You can also look at the annual issues of Houses by Fine Homebuilding. It features a ranch home that was converted to a bungalow and might provide you with some of the visuals you're seeking.
Here's the link to the Houses issue.

I am also considering doing something like that.
Does anyone know a good source for stain grade columns I could use for this?
