I am preparing to lay a new T &G strip floor in 3/4 random width Southern Yellow Pine in an existing home built 20 years ago with OSB sub floor. A contractor I spoke with stated that I may experience floor squeaks caused by the OSB not retaining the nails. Anybody have any input/suggestions ?.

I don't have a good answer--maybe use ring-shank nails, but if you ask your question on the Breaktime forum, they'll have lots of answers for you (it's three to the left of House Chat at the top of this page).
