Underground Gutters
Underground Gutters (post #192021)

In an issue of FH a few months back there was an article about installing a waterproof membrane to the foundation just below grade for about 4 feet out from the house to direct water away from the foundation in place of having gutters.
What issue was that in?
What material is used for the membrane?

I don't know about (post #192021, reply #1 of 1)
the recent article, but it has been a recurrent theme over the years. I implemented a version of this "underground gutter" at my home.
Polyethylene is the impermeable membrane, perforrated drain tile with a "sock" and 1" stone line my foundation walls with the drain tiles "run to daylight" down the hill.
