Hello All,


Do base and cove molding colors have to match? My bedroom has dark stained base and window casings. I am thinking of maybe adding white cove molding (and maybe white window shutters too).  Would I also have to remove the dark moldings?  The walls and ceiling are a light green/blue.

I'm not really an interior decorator type, but I'd say "it's your house; do what you want." Put the white cove up and see how it looks with the other; if it's horrible (and I don't think it would be), consider replacing the dark stuff.
