Would you like your walls to glow? (post #203456)
The first product idea coming from the cooperation between Philips and Kvadrat Soft Cells will be wallpapers that contain integrated LEDs and make your walls glowing in different colors.
The LED-illuminated wallpapers are actually some kind of panels that combine both LED lighting source and customizable acoustic panels that can be rearranged and reupholstered to meet changing requirements simply and quickly. Panels are mounted on an aluminum frame with a stretching mechanism, allowing the panel to remain an appropriate tension regardless of changes in temperature or humidity.
Will such wall papers be popular? One guess is that they will not be inexpensive. They could be as energy-efficient as common LED lamp, but considering that normal wallpapers do not need electricity at all, this luminous wall will not be a good choice for residential decoration.

Brighten the world with LED lamp to save energy and conserve environment.

and almost laughable when you use lit wallpaper to put your foot in the door.
My advice, pass on your info to someone more familiar with the language of the country you wish to force your input on and probably do the same with the site you link.

We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
