Building with strawbales in central TX

Hi folks, this is my first time using this... My son is in graduate school in San Marcos, we're trying to get feedback on using strawbales to build two story dwellings...

We are working with a local architect.  The county and city issue permits, and homeowner's insurance is available.

Any words of wisdom??
