I can’t find my Jan/Feb 06 issue, please help. I am looking for any info on the light colored wood bathroom vanity that was shown somewhat resembling a potting bench.
I’m in the process of remodeling a very small half bath and want something in keeping with my barn theme (one of the walls has corrugated roof tin along it).
Any help/ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

You could make your own out of OSB and varnish it. Someone did that in the last issue of "Dwell" magazine and it looked pretty good.
Deardiva,
I'm checking on this for you...will let you know if I can locate the manufacturer.

Diva,
Just pulled out my Feb06 copy and I think you are asking about one of the vanities in "Vanities Fair" for Inspired Ideas. Unfortunately, this section is NOT covered under Resources, and when I asked about another one of these vanities was told that the resource is not available. What I would suggest, rather than waste lots of time searching like I did, only to find the product was discontinued, is to find a potting bench you like. The contractor will cut a hole using a sink template, plumb it, and voila, instant bath vanity. This way you know exactly what you are getting and it can be sized to your needs. The other thing I noticed in the pictured version was a minimalist towel bar across the front - you may need to do a little search to find one of these, but I'm sure it is available on line or at your local plumbing supply.
I think you will be happier going this route than to try and find an item which may have been photographed 3 years ago and was custom to begin with.
Good luck, and don't forget to post pics.
Thanks so much for your help and ideas. I appreciate it!
I agree with you, and I have already started looking at potting benches. Because the space I have to work with is so small, most likely, I will build it myself. And yes, I will definitely post photos when I'm done.
Hi Diva,
Still checking on that vanity, but its source is proving elusive -- sorry! But Aimless's advice is good -- let us know how it turns out, and I'll keep checking in the meantime.

Thanks again. After building a potting bench, I decided it was much better put to use as a "potting bench". My husband loves it. Instead, I found an antique sewing machine with a treadle. I'm going to set a large antique copper basin that I have on top of it and put a whole in for the plumbing. It should be a beauty once it's done.
Best regards,
Dear Diva
Dear Diva,
You'd better post some pictures when you are done!
