Garden shed in Italy

user-3439027's picture

Hi to all, i'm writing from Aranova 15 minutes by car from Rome City, Italy

I wanted to build a garden shed for my garden and that it could also serve as a small workshop for my motorcycle, I tried a different project from what was proposed in Italy, but they were all very ugly and I found a lovely idea in Homefinebuilding.

So I studied, read and understood how to build that and later, finaly I built my garden shed, and under the concrete basement I made a nice block from lumber-room humidity with access from inside the garden shed through hatch.

Looks like a beautiful piece of work!

Of all the preposterous assumptions of humanity over humanity, nothing exceeds most of the criticisms made on the habits of the poor by the well-housed, well-warmed, and well-fed.  --Herman Melville

Looks great! My wife has been asking me to build her a shed for our yard but I have no clue where to even start! Did you create the plans yourself or did you find the plans somewhere?

Hi  TreJackson

No I don't I designed this garden shed but I followed the project from "FineHomeBuilding"

http://www.finehomebuilding.com/how-to/a...

I bought their magazine, Taunton, which explains the peogetto in a comprehensive way, very beautiful and interesting.

I modified the original design creating a window less than seven proposals, I've realized why there are sale of sahs windows in Italy.

To build it alone is the Windows that the front door with English-style glasses.

The measures are of three metres and fifty-two fifty, but before I made a reinforced concrete storeroom under its base, that way I can keep plastic boxes separating the rooting needed, plumbing, electricity, hardware, machinery, tools, various power tools, etc.

The storage room under the base is only 75 cm, a depth sufficient to raise and take objects, if it were deeper even one wheel is dofficile to pull up, to access the closet I realized a trapdoor divided with four doors and a fixed scale below which can be moved along the opening like a ladder Bookshelf.

If you'd like to see some pictures or suggestions of how I started and made the whole project I'll be happy to give you all the advice you need, this is my e-mail

Kind regards

Max
