Hardyplank vs LP Smartside trim
Hardyplank vs LP Smartside trim (post #203806)

Good Afternoon,
I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with Hardyplank and LP Smartside trim. If so, I was wondering if they're equal in quality and life cycle. I was thinking about using one or the other and am not sure which one to go with. Not sure of cost comparisons of the products.
Thank you

I used "PrimeTrim" for the fascia when we resided our house about 20 years back. This is, I gather, very much similar to Smartside. It's still in excellent condition.
We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
