Has anyone had any personal experience with limestone countertops? I have heard they are great if sealed well and I have heard the opposite. We are considering Lagos Blue limestone (one of the least porous).
Thanks!

I've installed limestone floors and sealed it with the best sealer on the market..($80 a 1/2gallon)..Was still a nightmare!!!!! I can't imagine ever using it for a counter top in a kitchen..seems to me it'd be worse than marble on a kitchen counter.
Sealers only work so long and once it gets stained its hard to get out even with a poultice mixture which I've tried.
Try maybe a "honed" granite. Thats about the most durable and "honed" is a softer look than shiny granite. Its just a bit more money.
Be well
