We have quite a large home with two water heaters. One a 40 gallon for just the master suite and the other an 80 gallon for the rest of the house.
We are now down to two residents, my wife and I so I have installed a Paloma tankless water heater to replace the 40 gallon tank in the master suite.
I’ve also plumbed a line to tie both hot water systems together and plan to shut off the 80 gallon tank. The tankless will provide all of the water we need although there will be a small wait to get hot water to the clothes washer.
My question. When we sell our home, the next owner may well want to use the 80 gallon tank. So what is the best way “store” it while it’s not being used? Empty, full, on but very low temp?
Thanks,
Mac

Since you haven't had a lot of responses here, and my response would just be a guess that may get you into trouble, I would suggest that you post your question in the Breaktime forum (three to the left of House Chat at the top of this page).
