Will warped or split mudsill a need to be replaced before framing?
Hi everyone! I’m new to this site, but I’m sure you will be hearing more from me as we are building our first home. Our framers cut and placed the boards for the mudsill a couple of weeks ago. We’ve had delays and haven’t started framing yet and some of the boards are warped. They put up one that was split and they nailed it back together through the side. I’m concerned that the framing will break those boards or won’t sit flat and even. Am I worrying over nothing?
Thanks! I appreciate any advice you can give me!

Sill plate
I'm not there so cannot see the plate you are describing, but yes it very well may need to be replaced. On the other hand, it may not be a problem. Have you brought this to the attention of the framer and made him aware of your concerns. If not, let him know of your concerns and at least hear his explanation. If you are still not happy or satisfied let him know and ask him replace it.
You can always go to the his boss. The builder or who you are dealing with on the purchase. Good luck.
