Hi all..thought I’d post this question here as I didn’t get much of a response in breaktime. Has anybody used the “Schluter system” for preparing walls and shower pan before tiling a shower stall? I saw it on a show and it looked relatively easy to install. It also looked like it would do a very good job of water-proofing a shower area.
For anybody considering a shower renovation/install in the near future, it would be worth checking out their website www.shluter.com It’s very good and has video instructions also.
Hopefully I’ll hear from some of you….Mike

I haven't used it yet, but will the next time I do a shower. Get yourself over to the John Bridge tile forum on http://www.jlconline.com
Lots of pros over there. Talked about all the time. Think they might have instructions in their liberry. Seach the archives

Hi Shelley..thanks for the note. Somebody at Breaktime referred me to http://www.johnbridge.com for tiling info. AWESOME website..tons of info....so far I've been hearing good things. The only negative feedback I've heard is in regards to using the corner membrane pieces. Apparently this adds quite a bit of thickness.
