help with access to Jacuzzi

shadow232's picture

Hi,

We have an indoor jacuzzi tub that we installed when we built our home, since then I have broken my leg and knee. The enclosure is too high for me to get into now, so even though I would love to use our spa I cannot. I have looked everywhere for idea's on how to build steps so I can get in safely. We cannot lower the spa as it is on our second floor. Any links or designs would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I suppose you need steps up and then down into the tub? (post #198632, reply #1 of 2)

That is going to be a tough one.  And it has to accomodate crutches?

???  Seems to me that it would make a neat "feechur" in the living room ceiling!

But one needs to know a few dimensions -- how much space you have to the nearest walls, how high it is at the lip, how much of a step you feel you can handle.  Are you thinking temporary or permanent steps?

Are there steps on the inside?  How would you get out once you were in?

We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
