Installing a new sink faucet

hsacks's picture

I am changed out an old faucet in the kitchen and have everything attached on the new one except the cold water line. I think I stripped it. Is there anyway to fix this thread instead of taking out the unit and try to repair it that way? This was given to me as a house warming gift and I can't take it back. HELP!!!!

Precisely what part was (post #205830, reply #1 of 2)

Precisely what part was stripped??

Can you Google to find the brand and style of faucet and post a link here?  There are lots of different faucet styles and the connections are made many different ways.

We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison

Youll probably need a thread cutting kit. And you'll probably have to pull the faucet to have enough space to work.
