Shower Grout

newbie61's picture

I have just moved into a condo which has been empty for probably one year.    I am wondering if the

shower grout would still be patent after not being used for this length of time.    It looks fine otherwise, no cracks

or obvious deficits.     In a previous home I used a spare shower as storage for a few years, and when I began to

use it for showering again I quickly found that it leaked, so not sure what is a safe time frame for this unused shower grout.

thank you!!

if it didn't leak b/4-it probably won't leak now with no changes in the pan or any of the other parts.

Agreed.  But now might be a good time to clean and seal the grout.
