Tub meets vinyl flooring
The vinyl on the bathroom floor where it meets the tub has pulled up and it curling up. It has been re-caulked a couple of times but still comes up. What is the best kind of glue to get it back down flat and how do I apply it under that half inch? Thanks for any response.

Your best bet there is one of the narrow plastic or metal trim strips designed for this duty.
We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
If you have caulked it several times.............. (post #198642, reply #2 of 2)
the buildup both on top and probably under that vinyl will pretty much screw up a reglue. There is a tub cove, that can bend to moderate curves. If you could get the top cleaned up and most of what's below, you might try to ever so carefully get some pl premium under it in minimal consistant amount. Weight or use spring boards to hold it down.................
during and after cleaning up that damn adhesive-thinner works good- Trim it with that short vinyl tub cove and it should be passable (until you wet it down again, which is what probably caused it to lose it's grip and curl.
There is a seam glue for vinyl, it's clear and does well if there's no expansion of the underlayment along that tub. Again, spring boards would be my choice to pin it down for 24 hrs.
Then, put a nice bead of caulk along that doomed to fail joint. Silicone, if you don't mind a headache should you have to recaulk. or a latex made for tub/tile/kitchen . The good ones hold up long term if you take care of it. Despite the claims of Microban............you still have to keep that detail clean and hopefully sop up the water, or eliminate it.
Best of luck.
