Looking to cast decorative fence post caps. Any thoughts on what material to use. I was thinking fiberglass re-inforced concrete.
Thanks

The recipe for linoleum hasn't changed much in nearly 170 years, yet it's still one of the greenest floors money can buy.

I've seen 'em out of copper and out of white plastic (vinyl?) and out of composite (wood fibers and resin) that must be painted. Don't know about concrete.
The reinforcement fibers show on the surface, which is unappealing. You can forego the fibers and still get a good job. All those concrete lawn ornaments are made without fibers.
What are you using for a mold? You can buy castable urethane. It's stretchy enough that for most shapes you can peel it off and reuse it.

I appreciate the help. Have you a name for a manufacturer of castable urethane.
Thanks
These folks have it in their catalog, but I haven't searched their website. If it's not there you could call a local office. http://www.curbell.com/plastics.php3
