I have been in discussion with a floor covering store about covering over ceramic tiles without having to tear up the old floor. They have convinced me, if the floor is sturdy and fairly even, they can “float” three layers of a thin material to make a smooth surface and then put down “Amtico” product (36″x 3″ strips). It has a 20 year residential warranty. It’s very thin and looks like it will do a good job. Has anyone used this product and what do you think of it. I have contracted for the flooring and will let you know how it turns out.
