Glass
While cleaning the showers, I noticed some scratches on the glass and aluminum. This puzzles me. I can't imagine how something as hard as glass could become scratched through normal use. It's not like you take tools with you into the shower! Besides, some of the scratches are on the outside, where accidental contact is even less likely.
Does shower glass get scratches from everyday use? Or is it more likely to have happened when the house was built? The builder might have cheaped out by using a lesser grade of glass or hiring workers with more speed than skill. (This is one of those housing developments where the houses are all the same style and are built incredibly quickly.)
I'm not intending to do anything about this; just curious.

I don't have a good answer--maybe rings?--many gemstones can scratch glass, but most people wouldn't be running the gemstones against the glass!
