Have you checked local sawmills?
We are like tenant farmers chopping down the fence around our house for fuel when we should be using Nature's inexhaustible sources of energy -- sun, wind and tide. ... I'd put my money on the sun and solar energy. What a source of power! I hope we don't have to wait until oil and coal run out before we tackle that. --Thomas Edison
My local yard can get timbers. (post #196051, reply #2 of 4)
I cannot give you the information on who their supplier is but if you really need the tip, let me know and I'll call my yard. Their source might be in Mi., but services distributors here. I could order the cedar EXACTLY the dimen I needed.
I'm in NW Oh. We just did a search here for another thread about 1-1/2x3/4 Oak. The poster was from Cinci and needed a source. I used Thomasnet to find southern ohio lumber dealers. Got a good list. You might try a search of Thamasnet.

If you need the name for a lead........ (post #196051, reply #4 of 4)
Let me know. I'll call my lumberyard and get a name.
Have you tried a good yard around you? This one here had me material in 5 days. It's not real dry and rough sawn, but a lumberyard millshop could surface it if you need it. The drying part might not be as easy.
