Considering using Window Blinds and would appreciate your thoughts on the following:


(1) quality of major manufacturers: Levolor vs Hunter Douglas and any other


(2) wood vs faux - I favor faux from a cleaning point but the window & panes are stained and surrounded via white wood work (hubby's idea) so matching woods may be potential problem.


Originally I had planned to use shutters but our WeatherShield windows lack space for inside mount, so I must use outside mount.  Caution:  If ever purchasing new windows, do watch for this type of window; would never choose this style again.

Since you haven't received a lot or responses, you might try posting at the Breaktime forum; even though they are more construction people than decorators, you might still get responses. Just go to the green box at the top of this page and click on Breaktime, right after "Other Taunton Sites:".
