Hi all, My husband and I are replacing a rotten sill on a bay window, installing new energy efficient replacement windows and redressing the finish. We’re thinking about using azek for the trim boards and adding weather resistant wood molding to match the molding found on other parts of the house (+100 years old.) What do you think about the layering of these materials, please?

I don't see a problem.
but remember, Azek expands/contracts in length, wood.....in width.
also, seal all 6 sides of the wood product.
fasteners may be different depending on the application.
dinners on, best of luck.
