Wood preservative

What sort of "wood preservative" am I apt to find available these days.  I'm looking to coat some rot-prone spots in the deck repairs I'm doing -- something I can dunk a board end in for a couple of minutes or drizzle on with a brush.

Both Menards and Sherwin Williams came up short -- only "wood sealers".

DID not you prepare and buy a 5 gal can of penta concentrate back in 1980? 

I'm down to about a gallon of the penta concentrate. Had 5 gallons of creosote to but it 'got stolen'. 

If you did not have the forsight to stockpile are were born after 1960s, then probably borates.
