I have begun a "wall of memories" going up my stairwell. When I visit a new place, I try to find a black & white sketch or print that is representative of something from the area that I loved. Once I'm home, I have it framed in a simple black wood frame.


I love cathedrals & historic architecture so all of my pictures are of buildings. I label the back of the frame with the name of the building pictured in the sketch or print and the date of my trip.


My stairwell currently contains about 15 different frames & every time I pass I am reminded of a fond travel memory.

I have a collection of unique stones from various places which will someday be incorporated into a fireplace wall.
