I always got a bang out of building things from early childhood, and I'm not fortunate to have worked 45 years in construction - several new houses working for other contractors the first 5 years. The next 40 have been mostly remodeling. The last 23 have been an informal "buddying up" with another carpenter. We have only been out of work about a total of 4 weeks during this time - partly from poor order planing, partly weather. I love meeting people in their homes.
